David and his family moved to Richardson, Tx, when he was one year old, and his early youth was spent there. The family moved to Glendale/Phoenix, Az, when he was 5 years old, and he lived in that area until his late teens. In his late teens, he moved back to Texas to the Plano/South Fork area. This is where he started his own family with Kay Duncan and lived and worked for many years. In his late 30s, he moved to Florida to help care for his aging and ailing mother . This is where David spent the rest of his life. He finished adding to his family with his former wife, Jean Pflugh. He lived in Seffner, Wauchula, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, and his life ended in Bradenton FL.
David was a very talented carpenter and woodworker. Along his travels, he left behind many pieces of himself in the houses he helped build, remodel, and many other pieces of craft work. Even though David is no longer with us, his unique craftwork remains throughout the areas he lived or visited.
David enjoyed spending time on the water with his children, nieces, and nephews. He loved spending time tossing the football, playing in the sand, and hacky sack.
He could be found relaxing under an umbrella with the ocean breeze brushing along his sun-kissed face and simply enjoying the beautiful beaches all throughout Florida. He was very athletic and enjoyed being outside playing ball. He enjoyed music and riding his motorcycle. He lived life to the fullest, and he could usually be found doing an adventurous activity.
David loved the following quote:
"One day, you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through, and it will be someone else's survival guide."
Love you Man, you are missed.
