Laurel Lynn Septer (Weiss), 73 years old, Lakewood Ranch, Florida, went home to be with the Lord November 19, 2020
Born 8/17/1947 in Camden, NJ to her beloved parents John and Dorothy Weiss. Grew up in Haddon Heights, NJ and lived an idyllic childhood with her parents and her beloved sister, Holly Weiss. Attended Haddon Heights Baptist Church where she trusted in Jesus Christ as her Savior grew in her faith. Graduated from Haddon Heights High School (1965) where she was a competitive swimmer.
Graduated from Rutgers University (YEAR) with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Married Dale Duane Septer in January, 1971 and moved to Cherry Hill, NJ, where they raised their two sons, Gary and Mark.
Attended church at Bethel Baptist Church and Haddonfield Methodist Church, where she developed her love of music, singing in the church choir as well as the New Jersey Master Chorale.
Laurel lived happily in Cherry Hill until the death of her husband, Dale in 2011.
Moved to Lakewood Ranch, Florida in 2014. Joined First Baptist Church of Sarasota where she continued her love of music through singing. Continued her passion for horses and spent her time with family and friends, living a joyful and active life.
Survived by her two sons Mark and Gary (S. Michele) and her sister Holly Weiss, grandson Jackson, step-granddaughters Katrina and Sonya as well as 3 step-great grandchildren Noah, Hannah and Archelaus
Her Celebration of Life service will be this Sunday, December 6, 2 pm, at First Baptist Church, Sarasota.
