Loving wife to Joe Candiano of 67 years, Mom to Son John Candiano, Daughter Giovanna Perricone, Mother-in-law to Salvatore Perricone, Sharon Candiano, Grandmother to Joey Candiano, Marlena Candiano, Marcella Candiano, Frankie Perricone, Joe Perricone, Kristin Perricone and Great Grandmother to Francesca Perricone
Nina was born on October 31st, 1937 in Giuliana, Sicily.
Nina arrived in the United States along with her parents Giuseppe and Maria Arcuri and siblings, Ignazio Arcuri and Santo Arcuri as a little girl in 1947. She grew up in Brooklyn until she met the love of her life Joe Candiano and married in 1956. They then moved to Staten Island in 2001. In 2014 they moved to Venice, Florida until her final days.
Nina was well known for her impeccable, dress style class, beautiful smile, and kindness to everyone. We will all miss her terribly, but she will undoubtedly live in our hearts and minds forever.
May she rest in eternal peace with the Lord.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
